چکیده

A few scholars have developed the models for retrieval of water depth from subsurface reflectance multispectral images to avoid influences such as sun glitter. However, are only suitable case I water. For this reason, study proposes a bathymetry model using both and II The first corrects surface image then converts it into image, is used image. Landsat 8 were taken experiments in 1 2 water, two areas, Weizhou Island, Guangxi, China, Molokai Hawaii, USA, verify proposed model. experimental results showed that reduced root mean squared error (RMSE) retrieved areas 3.113 m 2.903 4.239 3.653 m, respectively, i.e., improve accuracy at 6.75% 13.82% respectively. Therefore, demonstrate can significantly via spaceborne images.

Deriving Bathymetry from Multispectral Remote Sensing Data

The use of passive satellite sensor data in shallow waters is complicated by the combined atmospheric, water, and bottom signals. Accurate determination of water depth is important for monitoring underwater topography and detection of moved sediments and in support of navigation. A Worldview 2 (WV2) image was used to develop high-resolution bathymetric maps (four meters) that were validated usi...

Parameterization of surface polarized reflectance derived from POLDER spaceborne measurements

Two months of spaceborne POLDER polarization measurements have been used to generate empirical surface bidirectional polarization distribution functions (BPDF’s). Eleven surface classes have been defined based on a surface classification and a vegetation index. Within each class, the surface polarized reflectance was found rather homogeneous. The surface polarized reflectance is highly anisotro...

Passive Multispectral Bathymetry Mapping of Negril Shores, Jamaica

A new method was tested using SPOT images for mapping of variations of the reflectances and depth of sea-bottom French Polynesia, where the standard error on computed depth was less than 0.2 m for average depths of 2 m. The method uses "soils line" for zero-depth calibration and "brightest pixels line" for diffuse attenuation coefficients and actual value of K as linear functions of band ratios...

A Modified Lyzenga's Model for Multispectral Bathymetry Using Tikhonov Regularization

The derivation of shallow-water bathymetry from multispectral satellite images has become a highly active field of research in recent years. Nowadays, as satellite images become more and more freely available worldwide and easily accessible, this type of technique is a cost-effective surrogate for the derivation of bathymetric information, about even the most remote areas. In fact, traditional ...

LED Multispectral Imaging: Reconstruction of Reflectance Spectra

When we take photos with digital cameras and view them on display devices (such as LCD monitors), we want it to be an accurate representation of the original scene. However, the camera only gives us a limited set of data that does not allow for a very accurate reconstruction of the image. We can see this by comparing the data that the camera captures with the true information that is available ...
